About UsWhat an adventure and journey we are having creating Blabberpod. We say ‘creating’ because we see it as a process that will continue to grow and improve over time. It is you our user too who are contributing and making this website better and better everyday. Developing a website has been a long held dream for us. It is an accumulation of everything we have been trying to achieve both professionally as educators and as lovers of languages. A website that grows a social community of learners and also incorporates courses that meet student’s specific needs has been a rewarding challenge. As trained teachers working with students everyday we are aware of the changes and needs in the market places for providing structured programs that meet real goals. We also have many years of teaching experience, practice and knowledge in designing tests and activities that really cater to helping our students get what they want. Ellen Williams Ellen is an accomplished teacher who graduated from Monash University, with a Bachelor of Education and a Diploma in Teaching. Ellen began her teaching career in Early Childhood and Primary Teaching in many of Melbourne’s elite private schools. Ellen has also spent some time travelling overseas and working in England furthering her passion for teaching and experiencing other cultures. Currently Ellen is employed as a University Instructor teaching ESL to International students. She has a true desire to pass on her knowledge and love of reading and writing, this is displayed and appreciated by the students which she teaches and ensures she is a popular IELTS tutor. Ellen has an interest in reading, travelling and meeting people. She has studied French and Japanese and is currently learning to speak Italian. This new venture with Blabberpod enables her to continue her passion for teaching, while helping more students from all over the world learn English. Ellen lives in Melbourne with her husband Andrew and their two daughters, Lucy and Jessica.  Sarah Coldwell Sarah is passionate teacher whose love of learning languages has seen her travel extensively around the World connecting people and teaching English. Sarah also studied at Monash University graduating with an Arts degree and Diploma of Teaching. Her love of learning languages: she is fluent in Japanese and French, saw her live in Japan for 7 years where she was teaching English. Always the entrepreneur Sarah also established a successful English Language school in Japan. Upon her return to Melbourne she founded another language school specialising in teaching French and Japanese. She has since sold this school and is currently working at one of Melbourne’s top University language schools. She is also an IELTS examiner. Her expertise in language learning and her training as an IELTS examiner, sees most of her spare time tutoring students and preparing them for the IELTS tests. Blabberpod is the realization of many years work and dreams Sarah has had to connect people who also share her love of languages and help others achieve success with IELTS. Sarah is an avid and passionate Collingwood supporter and when she is at home in Melbourne can be found most Saturdays watching her beloved ‘Magpies’ play Australian rules football. |
