The Top 5 Test Taking Tips For Reading.
Friday, 14 May 2010 14:27

What should you do when you take the IELTS reading module?

Dear Students,

You have been practicing and preparing for the IELTS Reading test. As the time draws closer remember these 5 tips to help you with your studies and on the day of the test.

1. Remember what to expect. It is always a good idea to look through the whole reading module first, before you start.

2. Organise your time. Even if you haven't finished a task in the recommended time, go onto the next task.

3. Read the questions carefully. What information exactly do you need to answer the questions.

4. Try to understand the different question types. For example, multiple choice, gap-filling questions, short answer questions, matching questions.

5. Try to answer all the questions. As there are no penalties for wrong answers, take a guess if necessary.

Best wishes and good luck!
